Our January blog focused on our business resolutions for 2013. These can be your business strategies, redefined business goals, but we called ours Steps to Success. We have 336 days left to keep these resolutions working for us. We also asked for you to share some of your own. Our hope is to inspire, be inspired, motivate and even have some accountability! Thanks for those who responded. I’m sure we can all identify with these too:

It’s great to write these down; if they get covered up in everyday work by the end of March they have long been forgotten. That’s why we really liked the Journaling idea. This encourages you each day to write down your wins and even losses and think about your resolutions each day. This way it keeps these goals in front of you on a consistent basis.
If you’re reading our blog for the first time, it’s not too late to be part of the communication, so keep the ideas coming. We’d love to hear from you.

Our last step was to Get Fit, not just physically but in all aspects of our lives. One area we plan to focus on is work hard when it’s time to work, but also provide a fun, stress-less environment at work. Tuesday is National Have Fun at Work Day. So, here’s a photo of our staff getting out and having fun. In this picture are 9 images that tell something about each person on our team. See if you can find the items listed below the photo! We’ll provide the answers on Tuesday. Need extra help?  You can click on the photo for a larger image.

3rd Step To Success

January 22, 2013

During the month of January, SDB Creative Group has been sharing our New Year’s Resolutions for our business and asking you to share with us what yours is for your business. So far the response has been great and we look forward to sharing them with you all next week. But for now we will share our last one…to get fit! Metaphorically and physically! We want to get healthy for ourselves and our clients.

Getting healthy is not only eating right and working out, although that is a given, but we want more, we want our office to feel great! To be able to relax when it’s time to relax and work without stress when it’s time to work. We feel like a better team environment will come from within and as a staff, we are committed to be more diligent about our diets, and to move more, but why stop there? We want to read more, travel more, learn more, and seek more. We are confident that this will make us a better business to do business with, would you agree?

Have you read a good book lately? Seen a compelling movie? Have and inspirational quote to share? We would love to hear them! Share them with us on our Facebook page. We will be sharing our progress too. From time to time, we may share from our experiences too.

Visit our page at  www.facebook.com/SDBCreativeGroup. Thanks for sharing and inspiring us and others too!

Last week, SDB Creative Group shared one of the resolutions we have made for 2013. We have heard from some of you and you too have some great ideas to grow your business this year. We can’t wait to share them with you all at the end of the month, so keep them coming!

Our second New Year’s resolution is to stay grateful. We have clients that have been with us since we first opened SDB Creative Group. We are thankful for their continued trust and would do anything in our power to help them achieve their business goals. We want all of our clients to feel the same way. Whether you have been with us for years or just a week, we are grateful for you and promise not to take your business for granted.

In West Texas, everyone is busy and the workforce is spread thin. If you have been to a restaurant lately, a 30 minute wait is not uncommon. I went to Dallas a couple of weeks ago, and had the best service at several restaurants and realize they were grateful for my business. What a concept! I realized with all of the hustle and bustle of this area that it is easy to fall into the trap of being complacent about service and that is not how we want our clients to feel. We want them to feel as valued as the day we signed them and that is what we are committed to do this year.

So from SDB Creative Group to you, thank you for serving the community and we are grateful for all you do!

What are some ways you show your gratitude for your clients? No matter what your company does from pump supplies to spa treatments, we all have competition. Don’t we all want out clients and customers to know that we value them far more than our competitor will?

Steps for Success in 2013!

January 8, 2013

Most of us made a New Year’s resolution for ourselves but did we for our businesses too? We did and will share our New Year’s resolutions for our business in the next couple of weeks and hope that they will help you meet and exceed your 2013 goals too. As we focus on one resolution each week and ask you to think about others that you could make to grow your business this year and share them with us on our Facebook page. The last week we will take all of the suggestions and list them. I bet together, we will give each other some great ideas on how to grow our business in 2013.

This brings us to number one…
New Year’s Resolution Number One: Start by focusing our business on giving. I know you are thinking “great, now I have to give to every organization that knocks on our doors, how’s that going to grow our business?” It is always good to be charitable, and we believe that the good you give, you will always get back, but that isn’t the giving we are talking about here. We are committed to give our clients our attention. We don’t want to just “sell them” but to become a partner with them. We want to give them our heart and minds and hopefully win theirs in the process!

Next week, we will share with you our second resolution for 2013. Don’t forget to go to our Facebook page and share with us your own business resolutions. We want to hear them and will compile them at the end of the month and share with everyone. Best of luck in 2013, and may you and your business have a very productive and prosperous year!
